SCAR REDUCTION
Postsurgical scars may take weeks to years, if ever, before the scar becomes normally pigmented, flat and pliable. Some will not heal favorably and may persist as red, hypo- or hyperpigmented scars or may result in thickened keloid scars.
How do we treat scars?
We use the world's most proven vascular laser technology, the
V Beam laser. It is considered by physicians world-wide as the "Gold Standard" for treatment of an array of vascular skin conditions.
The V Beam has been shown to improve red (erythematous) and thickened (hypertrophic) scars by 57% to 83% after 1 or 2 treatments in patients with a 2 year scar history.
A recent study (Derm. Surg. 29:1 January 2003) showed significant improvement in appearance and quality of scars treated on the day sutures were removed with no adverse outcomes.
Treatment with the V Beam is noninvasive, minimally uncomfortable and requires no anesthesia.
